Brief Bio: 
I have received a dual bachelor's degree from Kean University in Elementary Education and Psychology. In January of 2006, I began teaching at Millington School as a student teacher in second grade. Following my student teaching experience, I became a long-term substitute until the end of the school year. I was hired at Millington School as a third grade teacher and have been teaching third grade for twelve years.

Math:

We will continue to explore Topic 3 ~ Using Place Value to Add and Subtract. Students will solve problems by writing a number sentence based on a picture they have drawn describing the problem. The Topic 2 and 3 test will be administered on Wednesday. We will then begin to explore Topic 4: Meanings of Multiplication. Students will write multiplication number sentences for given equal group situations, using x symbol and write multiplication sentences for arrays and use arrays to find products.  

*~*~* Students must pass 100 addition facts in 5 minutes by the end of the first marking period. Remember to practice your facts daily!

 Social Studies:

Students will continue to explore Chapter 1, Lesson 3: Our Country’s Geography.  Students will focus on a map scale, understand that natural resources exist in nature, and recognize the importance of water as a resource and the effects of weather.

Science:

We will continue to explore Ch. 6: Earth’s Crust. Students will complete the Chapter 6 test on Monday. We will begin to explore Ch. 7: Protecting Earth’s Resources. Students will classify objects according to the materials from which they are made of and identify natural resources and classify them as renewable or nonrenewable.
