Brief Bio: 
I have received a dual bachelor's degree from Kean University in Elementary Education and Psychology. In January of 2006, I began teaching at Millington School as a student teacher in second grade. Following my student teaching experience, I became a long-term substitute until the end of the school year. I was hired at Millington School as a third grade teacher and have been teaching third grade for twelve years.

Reading: 

Students will continue to explore Reader's Workshop. We will focus on various skills such as; using schema, questioning, speaking to communicate, engaging in discussion/collaborating.

Math:

We will continue to explore Topic 10 ~ Fraction Comparison and Equivalence. Students will draw a picture to solve problems.  The topic test will be on Wednesday. Students will then begin to explore Topic 13 ~ Perimeter. We will use standard units to find perimeter of a shape.

 

*~*~* Students must pass 100 multiplication facts in 5 minutes by the end of the third marking period. Remember to practice your facts daily!

 Social Studies:

We will begin to explore Lesson 4- Local Celebrations. Students will understand that what people celebrate is important to them and recognize how communities and ethnic groups commemorate people, events, and things.

Science:

We will prepare for the Chapter 15: Force and Motion test which is on Wednesday.
