Brief Bio: 
I have received a dual bachelor's degree from Kean University in Elementary Education and Psychology. In January of 2006, I began teaching at Millington School as a student teacher in second grade. Following my student teaching experience, I became a long-term substitute until the end of the school year. I was hired at Millington School as a third grade teacher and have been teaching third grade for twelve years.

Math:

We will begin to explore Topic 7: Meanings of Division. Students write and solve number stories involving division and solve problems by using objects and drawing pictures. There will be a math test on Thursday. We will then begin to explore Topic 8: Division Facts. Students will give a multiplication fact, state a related division fact and vice versa.

*~*~* Students must pass 100 subtraction facts in 5 minutes by the end of the second marking period. Remember to practice your facts daily!

 Social Studies:

We will continue to explore Chapter 2. Students will understand why immigrants often settled in the cities, recognize why African Americans migrated, and use bar graphs.

Science:

We will begin to explore Chapter 13 ~ Forms of Energy. Students will focus on the forms of energy and examples of stored energy and motion energy, explore examples of stored energy and motion energy, and observing and comparing sound waves, and recognize that energy can travel in waves.
