Brief Bio

I have been teaching in the Long Hill Township school district since 2005. I taught both fourth and third grade at Millington School and then first grade here at Gillette School for eight years before now teaching the Basic Skills program.

To Reach Me

The best way to reach me is via e-mail. You may also leave a message on my voicemail at extension 1022. Please note I am only in the district on Mondays and Thursdays. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Please DO NOT leave urgent messages though my e-mail or voicemail. Please call the main office instead. Thank you!

DECEMBER NEWS
**Midyear school-wide assessments are currently taking place.

First Grade Foundational Skills
First graders in this group are currently working on "tapping" and blending consonant-vowel-consonant words, words with digraphs, bonus letters, and glued sounds. Please look for information on different activities to reinforce these at home with your child.

First Grade Skills
First graders in this group are currently working on words ending with -ng and -le. We are also continuing to work on applying reading strategies to read books with grade level accuracy.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten students are currently working on letter recognition, correct formation, and letter sounds. To date we have practiced the following letters: b, f, t, n, m, i, u, c, o, a, and g. Please refer to the packet that was sent home with your child in order to reinforce correct formation at home. Please also practice the letter-keyword-sounds with your child, such as b - bat - /b/.
